Moberly Greyhound sophomore, Daylen Robinson has given a verbal commitment to attend Texas Tech University for the 2012-2013 season. Robinson led the Greyhounds in scoring and assists last season averaging 16.5 ppg and 5 assists per contest. Daylen was a first team All-Region XVI performer during his freshman year. Texas Tech is coached by former Kentucky and Texas A&M head coach Billy Gillispie, who is in his first season with the school.

 

Robinson was a highly touted player coming out of Northeast High School in Kansas City where he played for Mark Scanlon. In 2010, he won the Direnna Award, which is given annually to the top high school basketball player in the Kansas City area. Daylen averaged 32 ppg and was a 1st team All City and 1st team All State selection.
