MACC Men remain undefeated

The MACC Men’s Basketball Team improved their record to 7-0 with an 100-78 home victory over Penn Valley on Tuesday evening. After a close first half, Moberly grabbed a 49-42 lead at the half. Surviving a few back and forth minutes of the 2nd half, Moberly came to life behind three point shooting by sophomore guard Delfincko Bogan to open a 71-53 lead. The lead never dropped below 15 points again.

Bogan and sophomore point guard Jabari Antwine led the Greyhounds in scoring with 17 points each while freshman guard Dallas Morgan contributed 16 points off the bench. Malik Barnett lead Penn Valley in scoring with 23 points while Brown added 13 points and Austin Johnson 12 points. Penn Valley dropped to 5-3 with the loss.

“I give Penn Valley a lot of credit,” said MACC Coach Patrick Smith, “they can really score and it definitely presented some challenges. However, I thought our players played a lot harder the 2nd half. We are still definitely a work in progress.”

Moberly returns to action this Friday in the Midwest Bone and Joint Classic at 7:00 pm vs. Link Prep. The classic will have men’s games at 11:00/3:00/7:00 and women’s games at 1:00 and 5:00.
