#4 ranked Hounds win 16th straight

The Greyhound's Men’s Basketball Team improved their record to 16-0 with a 120-39 victory over St. Louis Job Corps on Sunday evening at the Fitzsimmons-John Arena. Moberly jumped out to a 13-2 lead that they extended to 58-14 at the half behind 8 three pointers by 6’2” sophomore wing Brandon Betters. Better led all scorers with 33 points, while 6’5” sophomore wing Mar’Qywell Jackson had 14 points, 6’8” sophomore forward Quattarius Wilson added 13 along with freshman guard Dallas Morgan. Trey Owens rounded out the double figure scoring with 10 points.

“We had our game Saturday night cancelled vs. the College of Faith because of bad winter weather in the Memphis area,” said Coach Patrick Smith, “After a week off, I thought it was important we play against an opponent other than ourselves in practice. I appreciate St. Louis Job Corp filling in and although we obviously should have won, I was still impressed with how our players approached the game and the intensity we displayed.”

Moberly returns to action on Tuesday as they will host St. Louis CC at 7:00 pm in the second game of a double header at the Fitzsimmons-John Arena.
