#4 ranked MACC improves to 19-0


The Greyhound Men’s Basketball Team improved their record to 19-0 with an impressive 89-40 victory over State Fair CC. After leading early by a 10-7 margin, Moberly extended the lead to 26-12 before eventually ending the half at 47-18. Brandon Better scored 15 in the first half and Moberly was never threatened the rest of the way.

Better led the scoring with 18 points while Delfincko Bogan added 12 points and forward LeonardHarper-Baker contributed 11 points and 12 rebounds. Bassey led State Fair in scoring with 11 points. Moberly improves to 19-0 overall and 2-0 in Region 16 play while State Fair drops to 11-9 and 0-2.

“I was very pleased how our team came out and took care of business,” said Coach Pat Smith, “State Fair is a good team, it was just our night and I'm really pleased with our defensive effort. It’s very important we keep perspective as there are areas we need to improve in and keep pushing forward.”

The Greyhounds will now travel Saturday  to play Mineral Area College (20-0) in a battle of unbeaten Region 16 foes.
