Lady Greyhounds ranked 11th, Greyhounds 8th

12/21/2017
Both of the Moberly Area Comm. College Basketball Teams are both ranked in the latest NJCAA Poll released on December 19, 2017. The Men’s Basketball Squad moved up one spot to #8 in the nation while the undefeated Lady Greyhounds remained at #11 in the poll.

“Although the rankings don’t mean as much now as where you are later in the season, it’s still a nice show of respect” said MACC Greyhound Coach Patrick Smith, “I commend Coach Killinger and his staff for putting together a really good team and it’s very difficult to go undefeated in a semester as they have. I was just so pleased to have our players respond the way they did in the Highland Tourney winning three games in 26 hours. All of our players did very well academically and I am just so appreciative for the efforts of Coaches Andre Bell and Rusty Elmore, along with our academic advisor Susan Burden, for their efforts in our player’s academic accountability and performance. So glad our players got some time off to spend time with their families, but really looking forward to getting them back on December 26 and start working toward the semester that counts.”
