The Moberly Area Community College Greyhound Women officially added two more signees to their 2016 recruiting class earlier this week with the signing of Brianna Perry from Centennial High School in Roswell, Georgia and Carmari Lloyd from Rich East High School in Park Forest, Illinois.

“Brianna and Carmari are both great kids and we are really happy to have signed them,” said MACC head coach Chad Killinger. “We wanted to add some size and strength on the perimeter without losing any athleticism and I believe we have done that with these additions.”

Perry, a 5-9 guard, averaged 15.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game for coach John Domville during her senior season. She was named Class 6AAAAAA All-Region, as well as to the All-Region Tournament team this past season, and was selected first team All-Metro for North Fulton County by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Brianna is long and athletic,” said Killinger. “She has the potential to play all three guard positions and is pretty crafty away from the ball. She can shoot the three, put the ball on the floor, and gets her hands on a lot of passes defensively. She fits into our system pretty well and I am excited to see just how good she can become once she gets here.”

Lloyd, a 5-9 wing, averaged 10.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, six steals, and four assists for coach Jonnie Bass this past season. She was named the Most Valuable Player for Rich East, while earning All-Conference honors and being selected as the Defensive Player of the Year for the conference. Lloyd was also recognized by the Chicago Tribune as a third team All-Area selection by The Daily Southtown newspaper.

“Carmari is an extremely hardworking kid,” said Killinger. “She played around the basket a lot in high school, but she is capable of defending three or four positions. She will have to improve a little bit in terms of her ball handling and consistency on her jump shot, but she can knock down an occasional three, post up against smaller guards, and is a tremendous rebounder.”
