Romekia Wallace, a 6'0" Sophomore forward, from Moberly Area Community College, has been named Women's Region XVI Division 1 Basketball Player of the Week (Nov. 1-6). Wallace helped the Lady Greyhounds win all three of their games this past week as she averaged 14.3 points and 14.3 rebounds per game.

MACC recorded a home victory over Missouri Baptist University JV 75-39, in the season opener on Wednesday, November 2. The Lady Hounds then added wins over Southeastern Illinois College 85-65 on Saturday, and Olney Central College, 67-50 Sunday in the Holiday Inn Fall Classic at Mineral Area College. Wallace, who hails from St. Louis, MO, recorded a double-double in all three games, including a 15 point, 21 rebound performance against Olney Central in 28 minutes of action. She currently ranks 4th overall in NJCAA Division I in rebounds per game and her 63.3 shooting percentage (19 of 30) ranks just outside the Top 50.
