Greyhounds Baseball to Host Second Annual Hit-A-Thon
The MACC Greyhound Baseball team is excited to announce the Second Annual Hit-A-Thon, one of our biggest fundraisers of the year! The event will take place on Saturday, October 25 at 12:30 p.m. at the Howard Hills Athletic Complex, and we invite all Greyhound supporters, family, and fans to join us for a fun afternoon of baseball, food, and community.
This fundraiser plays a vital role in supporting Greyhound Baseball. Every dollar raised will directly benefit our players, providing essential resources for team travel, equipment, and other needs throughout the season. Each student-athlete has set a personal goal of raising at least $250—and your support makes that possible!
How the Hit-A-Thon Works
- Each Greyhound will take 10 swings at the plate.
- We'll measure each player's longest hit.
- The average distance is around 325 feet.
- Pledges can be made per foot—ranging from $.05 to $1.00 per foot—or you can make a flat donation.
- No pledge is too small; every gift makes a difference!
And because this event falls right before Halloween, don't be surprised if you see a few Greyhounds in costume at the plate. It's a day that promises home runs, good food, plenty of laughs, and an opportunity to be part of the team's success.
Following the Hit-A-Thon, we'll host a carry-in cookout for players, families, and fans—a perfect way to celebrate together.
We hope you'll consider making a pledge or donation to help our student-athletes reach their goals and have the very best college baseball experience.
