Greyhounds Receive Votes in NJCAA Division II Baseball Rankings

The Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds baseball team is gaining national attention early in the 2026 season after receiving votes in the NJCAA Division II Baseball Rankings Presented by Netting Professionals released March 9.

In just the program's fourth season, MACC narrowly missed breaking into the national top 25, signaling the growing momentum of the Greyhounds' young program.

MACC strengthened its case for national recognition over the weekend, winning three of four games against Southwestern Community College. The strong showing improved the Greyhounds' overall record to 16–5 on the season.

Head Coach Chris Fletcher credited the team's consistent offensive production for its early success.

"We've had really balanced hitting throughout the lineup," Fletcher said. "On any given day, someone different can step up and deliver a big hit for us. That depth has been a big reason why we've been able to put together a strong start to the season."

Next up, the Greyhounds will face the Lewis & Clark Community College Trailblazers in a four-game series on March 13–14. The first two games on Friday will be played in Godfrey, Illinois, while the final two games on Saturday will be played at home in Moberly. Lewis & Clark enters the weekend with a 6–10 record.

The series will provide another opportunity for MACC to continue building momentum and push toward breaking into the national top 25.
