Greyhounds Make Program History with First-Ever Top 25 Ranking

The Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds baseball team has reached a historic milestone, earning its first-ever spot in the NJCAA Division II Baseball Rankings Presented by Netting Professionals.

Released March 30, the Greyhounds checked in at No. 21 in the nation, collecting 45 votes to secure their place in the top 25. MACC is also the only Region 16 program currently ranked.

Now in just its fourth season, the Greyhounds continue to build momentum behind a strong 23–10 overall record. The team closed out the month of March in dominant fashion, winning three of four games against East Central College and outscoring the Falcons 35–11 across the series.

Head Coach Chris Fletcher reflected on the milestone and what it means for the program's growth.

"This is a huge moment for our program and something our players have worked incredibly hard to earn," Fletcher said. "To see their commitment pay off with a national ranking is special—but we also know there's more ahead. This group is focused on continuing to improve and proving we belong here."

The Greyhounds will spend much of the first half of April on the road before returning to Moberly later in the month for a stretch of home series.
