MACC GREYHOUNDS DEFEAT STATE FAIR 72-67 ON ROAD

Will host Mineral Area Saturday

The Moberly Area Community College men's basketball team defeated Region 16 opponent State Fair CC 72-67 on the road in Sedalia on Wednesday evening.

Moberly trailed 30-27 at halftime but used 45 second-half points to rally and claim the victory. Freshman forward Shaunassey Hatchett led the Greyhounds in scoring with 21 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore guard Lavonta Ivery added 13 points. Freshman guard Caleb Estes and sophomore forward Josh Lowe each contributed 10 points.

With the win, Moberly improved to 20-4 on the season, earning its fourth straight victory and moving to 4-3 in the Region 16 standings.

MACC will return to action on Saturday, February 7, when the Greyhounds host Mineral Area College at Fitzsimmons-John Arena in a women's-men's doubleheader, with game times set for 5 and 7 p.m.
