Greyhound Softball Awards
The Greyhound Softball team raised the bar this season. In just their second year, they achieved a tied 2nd place finish in Region 16 during the regular season and then secured 2nd place in the Region 16 Tournament. Throughout the year, the team displayed resilience and determination. Head Coach, Matt Bauer, expressed immense pride in their accomplishments and the way they concluded the season, noting that they have elevated the foundation of Greyhound Softball for future teams to strive towards.
The team's five sophomores played a crucial role in shaping the program's standards over the past two years and will be missed. The departing sophomores include Gracey Jordan, Pieper Wood, Mackenzie Roofener, Mady Klostermann, and Maddy Harvey. Looking ahead, the team will count on the returning freshmen for the upcoming season: Mackenzie Keller (OF), Evyn Howell (OF/C), and Zoey Cheek (OF).
The 23/24 campaign was concluded with the presentation of team awards:
- Mackenzie Keller – Offensive Player of the Year
- Maddy Harvey – Defensive Player of the Year & GREYHOUNDS Award
- Emmy Smithhisler – Most Aggressive
- Gracey Jordan - MVP
