MACC LADY GREYHOUNDS MUST FORFEIT VICTORIES

FIRST SEMESTER VICTORIES VACATED

The Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds Women's Basketball Team has been directed by the NJCAA to forfeit 10 victories they achieved the first semester. The forfeitures are the result of a clerical error committed by the Moberly Area Community College Athletic Department in the filing of the NJCAA Eligibility Form for the women's team in the Fall Semester, 2024.

"This is very unfortunate and completely unintentional," said Athletic Director Patrick Smith, "Once we received word that the eligibility form was not validated, we self reported our violation and subsequently appealed. We accept the punishment mandated by the NJCAA and will learn from the oversight. However, this in no way discredits the outstanding job done by Coach Chevis Thompson, his players and staff who have put together an excellent season thus far. They are still eligible for post season play and look forward to their team's future success."

After the forfeitures, the Lady Greyhounds record is currently 7-16 and still 2-5 in region 16 competition.
