A Pair of Buzzer Beater Lifts Greyhounds Over Crowder

The Moberly Lady Greyhounds traveled to Neosho, MO on Wednesday, February 5 to take on the Crowder Roughriders. It was a back and forth affair all night leading to the final moments of regulation. Down two Jeannie Scott drove down the middle of the lane and floated a shot over defenders and into the net to force overtime.

Overtime was just as close as regulation coming down to the wire the with score tied 86-86 with just over 20 seconds remaining. Angel Dickerson drove to the rim and put up a shot that missed but her teammate Layla Marcelle was there for the rebound and putback with 1 second left. The Lady Greyhound bench mobbed Marcelle after the buzzer sounded as she had given Moberly a much needed 88-86 victory.

The Lady Greyhounds are back in action Monday, February 10 as they travel to Mount Carmel, IL to take on Wabash Valley.
