Bio

Jada Peebles joined the Moberly Area Community College women’s basketball program as an assistant coach in July 2025.

Peebles previously served as a graduate assistant with the University of Florida women’s basketball program during the 2024–25 season, gaining valuable experience in player development, scouting, and day-to-day operations at the SEC level.

Peebles played five seasons at the University of Illinois, where she was a key contributor and leader for the Fighting Illini. She helped guide Illinois through a competitive stretch in the Big Ten Conference. During her career, Peebles helped lead Illinois to back-to-back postseason appearances, including a berth in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, the program’s first in two decades, and a Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) Championship in 2024. Her leadership and presence were instrumental in both historic runs, contributing to a culture of success and high standards. Over her five-year career, she was recognized with the Fighting Illini Female Spirit Award and Academic All-Big Ten honors.

Before her collegiate career, Peebles starred at Wakefield High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she scored over 1,000 career points. She was a three-time Northern Atlantic All-Conference selection, earned Defensive Player of the Year honors, and was selected to participate in the North Carolina vs. South Carolina All-Star Game.

Peebles earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in May 2024.
